“Coby and Stephen are in Love” is a love story between Coby, a 92 year old retired nightclub dancer and icon from San Francisco Chinatown’s golden age and Stephen, a man 20 years her junior who has aspired to be an experimental filmmaker since the 1960s anti-war movement. They fell in love at a seniors dance, and like two opposite ends of a magnet, they have been held together by an invisible force. They have created a glamorous world together through matching handmade outfits, dancing, and collage.
